Keri M. Zwerner, MA –
Licensed Marriage & FamilyTherapist (MFC43313)
now offering comprehensive mental health
services in Encino, California, working with
adults, children, adolescents, and families in short
and long-term psychotherapy and counseling.
I received my Master’s degree from Phillips Graduate Institute, and am currently in private practice in the San Fernando Valley area. I work with adults, children, adolescents, and families, helping them manage many issues through their time of growth. Previous to this, I worked as a therapist in the LAUSD school system, providing education, support, and advocacy for parents and students in SST and IEP meetings.
I assist children and teens with many concerns, such as coping with divorce, self-esteem issues, behavioral problems, ADHD, weight issues (eating disorders and obesity), social skills, and other daily life issues unique to their age. I also facilitate groups for children and adolescents, as well as parenting groups and classes. I support parents as they work their way through the challenges of parenthood.
I help adults heal unresolved wounds from childhood, achieve greater self-awareness and self-esteem; improve relationships with partners, friends, and co-workers; increase their ability to make life-enhancing choices; and improve every day life issues.
In addition, I work in the field of trauma and grief. A member of ISTSS and AAETS (The International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies and the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress), I have received additional training and attended many conferences in the areas of trauma and stress, in both children and adults.
I have dedicated myself to assisting others through the difficult times in their lives.
